PARSIPPANY, N.J. (August 10, 2015) – Wyndham Hotel Group today announced the addition of the 336-room TRYP by Wyndham New York Times Square, the second TRYP by Wyndham® hotel in New York City, to its lifestyle brand’s growing global portfolio.
Located on West 48th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue in Times Square, TRYP by Wyndham New York Times Square, which recently completed a major multi-million dollar renovation, puts guests just steps from world-famous attractions, shopping and dining, major corporations and public transportation.
The new hotel joins New York City’s first TRYP by Wyndham location on West 35th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, which opened in 2012. It also comes on the heels of recent openings in Abu Dhabi and Mexico City, as well as a recently announced agreement to introduce the brand to Southeast Asia with eight locations in the Philippines over the next 10 years. Another 14 hotels are scheduled to open around the world by 2017, including new-construction projects in the U.S. in Long Island City, New York; Newark, New Jersey; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

TRYP by Wyndham New York Times Square features eclectic, contemporary décor; a social, inviting lobby known as Plaza Central, with a bar, a blog wall featuring news and programming from around the world; free Wi-Fi; LobbyFriend, a temporary online social network; and the brand’s signature Fitness and Family rooms.
The property features 45 over-sized Family rooms with bunk beds for children and separate beds for adults, as well as five Fitness rooms, which come complete with stationary bikes, a yoga mat and a fitness kit for a private workout. All 336 rooms and suites feature free high-speed Wi-Fi and flat-screen televisions. Penthouse suites offer separate sitting areas and private balconies overlooking Manhattan.
LobbyFriend, a temporary online social network, fosters an interactive atmosphere at the hotel by allowing guests to network, socialize and communicate with each other and hotel staff during their stays.
